Community United Methodist Church was a mission outreach church begun in 1965 to reach the northeast community of Elyria, OH. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-based minstry of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. We are handicap-accessible with a ramp up to our worship level and also an elevator which reaches all three levels. This elevator is a memorial to our former pastor, Dennis A. Robinson.

CORE VALUES
We are seeking to build up the Body of Christ. "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." Ephesians 4:4-6 (NASB)

MISSION STATEMENT
To Proclaim Christ, Equip the saints, Seek the lost and Glorify God. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an <answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." I Peter 3:15 (NIV)

2008 GOALS
1. Seek God's leading. 2. Attract younger families and those with children. 3. Emphasize our financial commitment to East Ohio Conference, making payments for apportionments a first priority. 4. In all we do, make decisions that are pleasing to God. 5. Attempt to meet the needs of all staff of our church. 6. For the Lord to increase our desire for and ability to worship Him in spirit and in truth. 7. Facilitate congregational worship times and opportunities to grow in Him and in unity with one another.
