HERE ARE SOME UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
Beginning on Saturday, November 1, 2008, we would like to offer the services of our website to make requests for prayer. The prayer requests submitted will be given to the Email Prayer Chain of our church. If you would like to request that a prayer be sent out for your concern, just click on the prayer request tab on the left of your screen or on prayer request at the bottom of the screen. Please try to keep these requests brief and avoid giving too much detail about the request. The postmaster of this website may edit your request before it is sent to our prayer chain. We hope that you will feel comfortable in making your request and we would certainly appreciate any feedback when your request has been answered. Our God is a loving and caring God, even when sometimes His answer to a request is no, not right now.

Once again we take the time to honor all of the staff of Community United Methodist Church. We are hosting them at a dinner, to be held at the Sugarcreek Restaurant on Abbe Rd. in Sheffield. We will be seated between 1:00-1:15 PM on Sunday, January 18 and anyone connected to CUMC is invited to attend. Those attending, which are not staff, will be able to pay their bill individually at the restaurant. Non-staff attending will be asked to contibute a small amount to defray the staff dinners. January 20, 2009 SPECIAL AD-COUNCIL MEETING
| |
The Administrative Council of our church will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. The purpose of this meeting is to gather information related to a previously adopted policy of the board. A representative of the East Ohio Conference will be present to answer questions and present facts related to our Shared Ministry Funds. Also, a representative of the East Ohio Evangelical Fellowship will be present to offer opinions on their position regarding the various askings of the United Methodist Church. Any member or constituent of Community Church should attend this informational meeting, as the Ad-Council decides whether to reconsider our church's present policy. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and probably held in the church sanctuary to accomodate a large attendance.
